Welcome to our newsletter for the week commencing 7th September 2016. We hope that everyone had a lovely summer and that the new term has started well. We're excited to say that our groups and activities have resumed and we can't wait to see everyone!

This week we have: Individual Support Sessions, Sunbeams (Ages 0-4), Online Yoga for 16+, Family swim at Bramley Baths, Football for ages 4+

We have an update on our move to Acclaim House and for the next two weeks, all activities will continue at Stanbeck Hall. We have exciting news of a signing choir we are setting up for a one-off event and want to say good luck to our Great North Runners.

Update on our move to Acclaim House

We wanted to give you a quick update on our move to our new home, Acclaim House.

We want to say good luck and a big thank you to those taking on the Great North Run for Sunshine and Smiles next weekend.

We’re hoping to put together a Sunshine & Smiles signing choir to perform three songs at an upcoming event.

Leeds Local Offer have two more SEND parent/carer information drop-in sessions coming up in September.

4 Years. Still waiting.

The Down Syndrome Act became law more than four years ago, but we are still waiting for the Government to publish the final statutory guidance needed to turn the Act into meaningful change.
