You may have already seen our WhatsApp announcement about a lovely opportunity coming up in October. North Leeds Community Singers are celebrating their 10th birthday and have chosen to fundraise for Sunshine & Smiles!
The celebration will take place on 10th October, and we’d love to see lots of Sunshine families there. We’ll also be asking for volunteers to help with a Sunshine and Smiles stall and possibly to serve cakes too!
Even more excitingly, we’re hoping to put together a Sunshine & Smiles signing choir to perform three songs on the night, with support from Ruth Mercer, our Speech & Language Therapist and Makaton tutor.
The choir is open to all ages and we’re kindly asking everyone to respond to the poll in the WhatsApp message sent out on 28th August. If most people would prefer to practice at home using videos rather than attend in-person rehearsals, we’ll look at how we can make this work as easily as possible for everyone.
