Monday 3rd November saw a national movement take place in response to the SEND crisis.
A silent, peaceful national movement in over 60 local authorities, representing children who have been let down by a broken education system.
In Leeds, that was outside the Civic Hall. Everyone was asked to bring a pair of shoes and a note about their child’s story. They were stories of struggles, resistance and love. Stories of the children and families who have been ignored, misunderstood or left to fight alone.
It was not about politics or protest. It was about visibility, truth and change. About standing together, peacefully and powerfully, for our children.
