Inclusive Mainstream Practice - what you can and should expect from your school.
Join Leeds Parent Carer Forum and the Voice, Influence & Change Team for the launch of Inclusive Mainstream Practice (IMP).
- Monday 23rd February 2026
- 10am till 12.30pm
- Pudsey Civic Hall, LS28 5TA
Inclusive Mainstream Practice (IMP) is new guidance from the local authority to help schools support all children, with particular focus on those with SEND. It sets out what good inclusive practice looks like in mainstream schools and explains how schools should support your child’s learning.
With potential SEND reforms from the government expected soon, it’s more important than ever that parents and carers understand how the local authority is asking schools to improve inclusion in mainstream settings - and what families can realistically expect, ask for, and challenge.
This launch event is an opportunity to learn more about IMP, hear directly from those involved, and ask questions about how it may affect your child and your school.
