An incredible £13,500 has been raised through a campaign by the Akhirah Foundation. Over 21 days, participants took on a challenge to walk or run 3 km every day, raising both awareness and vital funds for Sunshine & Smiles.
The challenge concluded on Sunday, with some of our Sunshine families joining to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part and supported the campaign. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of a fantastic 21 days—despite the sudden wet weather!
The funds raised will go directly towards supporting our activities and groups for children and young people with Down syndrome in Leeds.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to the Akhirah Foundation for creating such an inspiring challenge, bringing communities together, and supporting the work we do for children and families across Leeds.
