We’re very excited to announce that from this week, 21 Co. now has two new co-managers!
We’re delighted to welcome Kate and Manon into the roles which will help 21 Co. flourish and give us time to focus on a more structured employment pathway for people with Down syndrome.
Manon’s previous working background was in a therapeutic setting. She worked for many years with vulnerable people who often suffered from complex trauma and relational issues. While taking a break from her career at the beginning of 2020, she decided, after a recommendation, to join the 21 Co. team. It soon became her favourite place to hang out and work with our young adults with Down syndrome.
She loves being creative. There is never a day when she is not making something. She also enjoys helping others to find their creative way in life. Manon is very much looking forward to working alongside Kate and to offer lots of support and creativity to help the team and young adults enjoy their experience at 21 Co. and achieve their best potential.
Kate joins us from mainstream education, where she has worked with many neurodivergent young people, including people who have Down syndrome. Many of you will recognise Kate as she has worked at 21 Co. since 2019, as well as being one of our artist makers (you can check out her colourful artwork in our gallery shop!).
Kate says:
“21 Co. is such a special place to be, and I’m looking forward to working alongside Manon and such a great team to develop and continue supporting our amazing young people!”.
