Ben Brown is a Leeds based filmmaker, who has been following Ultimate Thunder, a Leeds-based, punk-rock band. Ultimate Thunder has six members, five with learning disabilities, Down Syndrome or autism. Together, they’ve built something raw, loud, and unstoppable — and now their story is being captured in a groundbreaking documentary.
Ben has worked unfunded for the past 3 years, following the band’s inspiring journey of ups and downs, culminating in an inspiring and uplifting crescendo.
Now he needs your help! This isn’t just about finishing a film — it’s about amplifying voices that are too often overlooked. Ultimate Thunder celebrates resilience, creativity, and the power of community, shining a spotlight on underrepresented voices of the learning disabled, those with autism, and Down Syndrome. In a world that urgently needs these kinds of inspiring stories, your contribution can make a lasting impact!
Ben is currently in the editing stage, with 100’s of hours of footage to cut and lots of expensive stages of production to come. So they’re appealing to Ultimate Thunders fans, those with similar values and the generosity of the public to raise vital funds to get this film finished.
