JustGiving & Virgin Money Giving are hosting The 2.6 Challenge - Save the UK's Charities.
The London Marathon was due to take place this month but will now happen in October because of the Covid-19 virus. The London Marathon would have raised around £67m for charities across the UK. Despite the event no longer happening, plus many other fundraising sporting events, charities must still provide support and need funding to do so.
The #twopointsixchallenge aims to replace the £67,000,000 that would have been raised, and it launches on 16th April.
Sunshine & Smiles had many supporters running events like the London Marathon over the next few months, which are no longer happening. Donations raised fron the 2.6 Challenge would make a huge difference to the charity and if you can get involved that would mean so much.
"Whether you're running around the balcony for 2.6 miles, doing 26 press ups with the dog on your back or bench pressing 26 kilos with your grandchildren, we want your help to save the UK's charities. Help us to inspire the nation by sharing pictures or videos of your challenge on social media using the official hashtag #TwoPointSixChallenge to be part of the campaign."
More information on how to fundraise and support Sunshine & Smiles will be released on 16th April 2020.
