Tie Dye Socks for World Down Syndrome Day!

As you probably know, World Down Syndrome Day is often celebrated by everybody rocking their odd socks! People with Down Syndrome have a third copy of the 21st chromosome. The odd socks symbolise difference, and due to chromosomes having the appearance of socks this is where the idea originated from.

For World Down Syndrome Day this year, local small business Tie Dye Seas created a special range of tie dye socks to sell to raise money for Sunshine & Smiles. You may have seen a few pairs included in our World Down Syndrome Day odd sock montage here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DHeIB4-s0s7/

These fabulous socks (pictured) raised a wonderful £80 for Sunshine & Smiles - thank you so much to Sam and Emily from Tie Dye Seas for organising this.
