We’re excited to share details of the Stopgap Dance Company Inclusive Intensive taking place in February at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for young disabled dancers (aged 16-25) to work with one of the UK’s leading inclusive dance companies, explore new movement practices, build confidence, and connect with others in a supportive environment.
Join Stopgap’s professional dance artists for a 3 day residency and experience
the company’s approach to inclusive dance.
- Develop specific dance skills through improvisation, exploration and structured movement sequences
- Take part in creative and choreographic tasks that facilitate different ways to move and express yourself
- Gain new perspectives on what dance can be, showing that there’s no single way to dance
- Grow creativity, teamwork, and confidence while deepening a connection to movement
Location: Northern School of Contemporary Dance, 98 Chapeltown Road, Leeds LS7 4BH
Dates: Wednesday 18 – Friday 20 February 2026
Time: 10:30am–3:00pm
