SNAPS (Special Needs and Parent Support) is a charity based in Leeds and provides support services for children with additional needs of all kinds, and their families.
Here's what they say about their couselling service:
'As part of SNAPS family support project we offer counselling to parents and carers of children with additional needs. Anyone can self-refer to any of our services or professionals can make the referral using this link. All referees will receive a phone call from a member of our team to discuss which services they would like to access and their individual needs. We charge a subsidised fee of £11 per session for counselling, charged up front in 6 week blocks. Depending on need, and in agreement with the therapists, individuals can access up to 26 sessions. At times we may have to operate a waiting list for this service, depending on capacity.'
