My Life with the Wave - a multi-sensory installation combining digitally captured performances with dance, music and storytelling, created for young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.
My Life with the Wave is a story of friendship, taking audiences on a journey beneath the waves. Created for young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities and staged in Interplay Theatre’s unique illuminated dome.
My Life with Wave is inspired by the poem by Mexican Poet Laureate Octavio Paz and uses movement, sound, digital technology, and physical interaction to create a fully immersive sensory experience.
Performances are at the Interplay Theatre, Leeds as follows:
- Friday 1st March - 11am | 1:30pm | 6pm
- Saturday 2nd March - 2pm | 5pm
Book your tickets: https://interplaytheatre.org.uk/venue/whats-on/
Free carer tickets are available.
Interplay Theatre develops its work for young people with PMLD through residencies in SEN schools. They include our audience by encouraging proximity to action, promoting connection to character and performer through environment, scenic and digital, through music and the human touch. Interplay creates a special theatre for everybody.
