If you are thinking of taking on Endure24 in 2027, and are looking for a charity to run for, we’d love you to consider supporting Sunshine & Smiles – Leeds Down Syndrome Network. We are not a big national charity. We don’t have TV adverts or huge fundraising teams. What we do have is a small, local community that relies entirely on fundraising, grants and donations to keep going — and every single pound you raise goes straight to the families who need it most.
Sunshine & Smiles supports children and young people with Down syndrome across Leeds, offering the kind of grassroots, practical help that simply doesn’t exist anywhere else. We receive no statutory funding, so events like Endure24 genuinely keep our doors open.
Your miles could help fund:
- £10 – fruit and milk for our Sunbeams baby & toddler group
- £25 – an individual family support session
- £60 – a Speech & Language Therapy group
- £350 – one month’s rent for our community hall
By choosing us, you’re not just running for a cause — you’re running for real families in Leeds. You’re helping us provide social groups, therapy, outreach in schools and the chance for young people with Down syndrome to gain paid work in our two community cafés. You’re helping children feel included, supported and celebrated.
We may be small, but our impact is huge — and with your support, we can keep changing lives right here in Leeds. If you want your Endure24 challenge to make a direct, meaningful difference, we’d be honoured to have you on our team.
