Occupational Therapy Students on Role Emerging Placement with Sunshine & Smiles

We currently have 3 Occupational Therapy students on virtual placement with us. The purpose of the placement is for the students to learn about the support and services Sunshine & Smiles provide and to develop a project that would look at how Occupational Therapy support could be embedded into our work; for example; Occupational Therapy resources that our families could access in the form of leaflets or videos, ways of assessing the efficacy of our groups & activities for individual young people in terms of occupational therapy goals such as improving fine motor skills & co-ordination for example, or looking at the possibility of setting up regular Occupational Therapy support sessions.

To be able to do this the students would really value talking to our families and finding out from you what you think would be helpful and your current experiences of Occupational Therapy.

If you would be happy to chat to the students by phone, video call or email please could us know by emailing ailith@sunshineandsmiles.org.uk or messaging Ailith on 07725041601.

Thank you.
