New parent carer forum in Leeds

*** New parent carer forum being established for Leeds***

EPIC Leeds are no longer in existence, and this is a really important opportunity for a new forum to be set up.

It needs our voices to help it succeed and start to work alongside Leeds City Council, education & local health services to improve things for our children and young people and us all as families and parents and carers!

There is a meeting planned for 15th November at Leeds City Museum to explain more about the role of parent carer forums, how they can work really well and to start to establish a group of parents and carers who would like to be involved in taking this forward.

At the moment, there is a lot of guidance and support from Contact, who are experts in this area, to help the Leeds forum start afresh - you can read more here.

We will be going along on the 15th as we feel this is really important, but it would be great if any other parents or carers could attend too.

If anyone wants to come but needs help with transport or wants to ask a few more questions (or just wants to go with someone else), please email ailith@sunshineandsmiles.org.uk to make arrangements.

TO BOOK ON THE EVENT >>>  you need to email Catherine from Contact catherine.ratcliffe@cafamily.org.uk

Really hope a few of us can make it!
