Made with Music is hosting an accessible, family-friendly mini-gig at Brudenell Social Club from 12 pm to 3pm on Sunday October 27th. It will be an afternoon of live music with real bands in a real gig venue.
21 Co. also have a cake stall at the event!
The mini-gigs are designed with families in mind so everyone can enjoy live music together.
There will be three different acts for you to enjoy and their sets are only 25 minutes so easy listening for little ears!
Made With Music prides itself on being inclusive and accessible and wants more families to be able to attend live music events.
Here are some of the things they do to make their gigs accessible:
- Mobiloo at each event (an accessible toilet with changing bench, hoist and attendant)
- Pre-information available, including a photo guide
- Access to the space before the event to check it out
- Clear signage around the building
- Strict timings which are available before the event
- Level access, suitable for wheelchairs
- Variety of seating available (benches, mats, chairs, beanbags)
- Blackout tent if you need to dampen all other senses but still want to listen to the music
- Ear defenders available to borrow (although please feel free to bring your own)
- Plenty of staff around the room to answer any questions you have
- Keep some tickets back for families who can’t decide until the day
- Offer a pay-as-you-feel ticket on the door if you want to try the gig, but for any reason, you or your young person can’t stay for the whole thing.
If there is anything they can do to help you more specifically, please do get in touch at hello@madewithmusic.co.uk or find them on social media.
If the event is shown as sold out, get in touch with with them as they have a handful of tickets available on the door for families with additional access needs so please email if you would like, and cannot get, tickets.
