This Saturday is our first Smilers session with Made With Music for the Leeds Conservatoire project.
PLEASE NOTE that this Smilers session starts at 9.30am (earlier time than usual).
Sunflowers with Made with Music will then take place at the normal time of 11:15-13:15.
The aim of the project is to bring together our families, students from the conservatoire and professional musicians to perform a brand new creation at the conservatoire later in June with Leeds Conservatoire’s New Music Collective, a student ensemble which takes on a vast and exciting range of works, and professional orchestral musicians from Manchester Camerata.
The project hopes to build confidence, support health and wellbeing, develop musical skills and encourage participants to recognise the value of their own creative voice!
These special sessions will follow a similar format to our usual Saturday sessions, but we will have additional leaders from the conservatoire working with us to create a new piece of music.
Hannah & Kathryn will still be at the sessions.
