Leeds Mencap are facilitating a course at Horsforth Children’s Centre from 22nd February.
This is a course for parents of children under 5 with additional needs, and aims to support parents/carers with improving communication, setting boundaries, understanding and managing patterns of behaviour and more!
The course will be held on Thursdays 12:30pm - 2:30pm between 22nd Feb and 28th March at Horsforth Children's Centre.
The Main topics will be:
- Building self-esteem
- Improving communication
- Setting and keeping boundaries
- Meeting the emotional needs of both parent and child
- House rules
- Routines
- Behaviour, how to manage it
- Triggers and patterns
- Troubleshooting
- Choices and consequences
