Leeds City Council Transport are consulting on their draft post-16 transport policy statement 2025 to 2026.
It is their duty to publish this policy statement annually which gives information about the support with transport and travel arrangements available for students aged 16-18 attending 6th form, college or employment with training. The statement is intended to give clear information to ensure people are able to access the support they need to get to school, college or education based training.
There have recently been significant changes to the post-16 transport policy for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, so please do read through the policy statement and the children and young people's transport policy December 2024.
Please note though that it is the transport policy statement that is being reviewed, not the transport policy. The consultation is open now and closes on Friday 2nd May 2025. To take part in the consultation, please click here: Draft post-16 transport policy statement consultation survey
Your voice is really important in ensuring that the information in the statement is accurate and understandable.
