Kevin’s Epic Land Between Challenge

We want to wish Kevin Harley-Roberts good luck for his solo adventure this weekend to complete “The Land Between” challenge.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Kevin was unable to participate in the official event over the bank holiday.  However, he’s determined to honor the challenge he set himself and continue fundraising for Sunshine and Smiles.  Kevin has always done so much for our charity and we know he is going to smash this one!

The Land Between is a 500km self-support ultra-distance bikepacking event, that starts and finishes in that little known space in between Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. The route takes in a mix of remote landscapes, farmtracks, bridleways, wooded single tracks, and urban settings — and just about everything in between — including a 300m ride through a tunnel 40ft beneath the River Tyne.

Kevin says: "This will be the longest single ride I've ever done. The hope is to ride through without stopping for a proper sleep. I'll take a bivvy/sleeping bag in case I need a couple of hours lie down in a hedge, but I'm hoping to do it in under 40 hours."
