We’re currently recruiting volunteers and paid support workers to join our friendly teams at 21 Co. (Headingley) and Cafe 21 at TCV Hollybush (Kirkstall).
Successful applicants will support adults with Down syndrome to carry out their roles within the café, helping them develop confidence, independence, and valuable skills. This includes:
- One-to-one support with café tasks
- Food preparation & barista coffee making
- General café/shop duties
- Opening, closing & maintaining a welcoming space
- Supporting individuals to build their skills and independence
We’re looking for supportive, positive people who enjoy working as part of a team and helping others grow. Someone who can be flexible (including weekends & evenings where required) and who can build positive relationships with the people we support, their families, and our team.
Full training will be provided and various weekly shifts are available, plus additional shifts to cover leave and illness across both cafés.
You can find more info and both application forms here. If you have questions about either role, please email Ailith. And please feel free to share with anyone you think may be suitable.
