We’re excited to share that RISE Learning Hub is launching in April, and they’re inviting parents and carers of children with SEND and/or mental health needs to help shape this new provision.
RISE Learning Hub is run by Harriet (who runs the Wellnest yoga studio and was previously a special needs teacher, and Debs who runs our yoga sessions). It will offer an alternative, homeschool-style educational provision rooted in the EYFS and primary curriculum. Their teacher-led, mindfulness-based approach integrates movement, sensory awareness, and therapeutic practices to support emotional regulation, focus, and wellbeing.
The core offer is the Mindful Life Programme, with plans to begin with two-hour sessions and optional extended wellbeing support through trusted therapeutic partners (including OT, SALT, play therapy, psychology, counselling, and more).
They would love to hear your views and are holding two focus groups, which you are invited to attend:
- Monday 9 February
- 10.30–11.15am or 12.30–1.15pm
- Wellnest, Top Floor, Chantry House, Victoria Road, Kirkstall, LS5 3JB
(Please note: stair access only)
Tea and refreshments will be provided. If you can’t attend in person but would still like to contribute, there will also be an online questionnaire available.
If you’d like to take part, please email: riselearninghubyorkshire@gmail.com and let them know your preferred session, or request the online questionnaire.
Please RSVP by this Friday, 30th January.
If you know other parents or carers who may be interested, please feel free to share this invitation with them.
