Give A Gift Winter Ball

Last Saturday night, our team members Ailith, Tamsin & Rachel were invited as special guests to the annual Give a Gift Winter Ball, where Sunshine & Smiles was announced to their supporters as their charity of the year. 

It was a great opportunity to share more about the work of Sunshine & Smiles to the Give A Gift community and also to hear more about how they would be supporting and fundraising for us in 2024.

Give a Gift’s vision is to work towards an environment where people can live in a manner where they are made to feel welcome and valued regardless of their background and simultaneously ensure that poverty alleviation remains integral to their core work.

Their mission is to empower the beneficiary community to play a more active role in civil society, through maximising their potential and improving their wellbeing and quality of life by providing targeted support activities.

We’ll keep you updated on the ways that Give A Gift are supporting us over the next year, but one of the events they are holding is a Charity Zumbathon at Alwoodley Community Hall on Sunday 4th February. Zumba will be from 11:30am - 1:30pm and it will be followed by a light lunch.
