For World Down Syndrome Day, we’re going to be decorating flower templates and then displaying them on the side room window at 21 Co. in Headingley and on the wall at Café 21 @TCV Hollybush.
The flower templates will be available to decorate or collect at 21 Co. and Cafe 21 @ Hollybush from Friday 14th March until Friday 21st March (WDSD). Pay-as-you-feel to decorate the template in the café using the colouring pens and pencils provided, or you can take it home to decorate (just be sure to bring it back to one of our cafés by Friday 21st March).
Did you know that World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on the 21st of the third month because people with Down Syndrome have a third copy of the 21st chromosome?
Just like sunflowers we all grow and bloom in different ways but every way is beautiful. Help us to fill our windows with unique sunflowers so we can celebrate how special each child is.
