URGENT REMINDER: IS YOUR CHILD ON their GP practice LEARNING DISABILITY REGISTER?
GP practices have been given until 19 August to identify children (12-15) who have Down’s syndrome who are eligible for their Covid-19 vaccination. It is therefore vital that your child is on their GP practice Learning Disability Register and that their personal health record is correctly coded to show they are a person who has Down’s syndrome. Registration is not automatic so it is a good idea to make an appointment to talk to your GP to check your child is on the Learning Disability Register. Being on the Register and having their personal health record correctly coded will hopefully mean your child is identified as eligible to be called for vaccination.
