Eden Parsons is an undergraduate sociology student at the University of Sussex conducting research on the experiences of adult siblings of people with Down's Syndrome.
As a sibling of someone with Down's Syndrome herself, she feels that siblings can often be overlooked and there is a significant gap in academic literature about this group.
The research she will be conducting will be predominantly participant-led, which should hopefully be empowering for the participants and possibly also give an indication of additional support that could be offered.
The research will include an online questionnaire and then 1:1 follow-up interviews with a smaller group of willing participants.
