We are very pleased to let you know that we are now able to expand our swimming sessions and reduce the Covid restrictions we have had in place over the last few months.
From Saturday 18th September we will be running two, one hour long sessions with capacity for up to 30 people in each session. The sessions will be from 3.15pm – 4.15pm and then 4.15pm – 5.15pm.
There will be no pod restrictions in place but non-swimmers will not be able to swim in the deep end (past the no armbands sign!) in accordance with Bramley’s Health & Safety policy.
There will be one lane roped off for swimming lessons so please do not go into this area unless your child or young person is having a lesson.
Both the communal and poolside changing areas will be open and cubicles won’t be individually allocated any longer so please don’t leave your belongings in cubicles. Please use the lockers provided to allow for the next Sunshine group to come in and change ready for their session. Showers will also now be available.
We are able to offer swimming lessons again with the teachers in the water. We will be able to book 8 x 15 minute coaching spaces per hour long session. We will be giving priority to children and young people who have Down syndrome but if there are spaces on the day siblings and other family members can be given a coaching session.
We will still be using the booking system to ensure we don’t exceed 30 people per session and on the booking form it will ask you to put the names and ages of children and young people who would like 1:1 coaching – Bramley will then allocate the coaching slots when you arrive for the session.
You will also be asked to put down the names of everyone attending and a contact number on the booking form.
As always please let us know if you have any feedback or comments on the new style of session.
